A. 1.CRECHE CENTRES
The Satya Bharati successfully runs 2 creche at Nabagram and Naity. 2 other crèche centre sanctioned by West Bengal Council for Welfare are also run by Satya Bharati at two different villages. The West Bengal Board of Bharatiya Adimjati Sevak Sangha has allocated 18 creche centres in favour of Satya Bharati. The West Bengal Council for Child Welfare has also sanctioned 4 creche under national crèche fund in favour of Satya Bharati. All these crèche centres are being successfully administered by Satya Bharati in several villages of Hooghly District.
Satya Bharati successfully manages the Nabagram Satya Bharati Balika Vidyapith for the girls of the locality. A number of girl students residing in the children’s Cottage received their Secondary & Higher Secondary Education in the School. A number of girl students residing in the Short-Stay Home receiving their formal education in the School. The Balika Vidyapith has run smoothly and efficiently.
Satya Bharati successfully manages the junior basic School for the Children of the locality. A number of girl children residing in the children’s cottage. Receive their primary education in the School. Some other children rescued with the help of CINI-ASHA and TOMORROW’S FOUNDATION are also successfully undertaking their primary education here.
With the growth of 300 Children this year about 1500 School going children residing in the Naity, Krishnarampur, Kanaipur Gram Panchayet and Dankuni Municipality receive all equipments for their Education, Health & Nutrition care free of cost with the financial help of SAHAY, Kolkata , under adoption programme. There are provision for other benefit to the families ofthe adopted children and the village by repair and construction of roads, community and family latrines and bath-rooms, repair and renovation of dwelling houses, supply of Rickshaws and Rickshaw Vans to family members of the Sponsored Children. 4 Clinics for the Sponsored Children attended by qualified M.B.B.S. Doctors are also operating at the adopted villages. Medicines are supplied free of cost.
B. TRAINING PROGRAMME
Two Anganwadi Workers Training Centres are being run in the Satya Bharati Campus. One of them has been sanctioned direct by the Department of Social Welfare of the Governmnt of West Bengal. The other is being implemented by the Hooghly District Council for Child Welfare has been sanctioned by the West Bengal Council for Child Welfare. The Training centres impart in-service training to the Anganwadi Workers empower them to looking after the education and health of pre-school Children living in the rural in the areas of West Bengal.
Satya Bharati conducting Spoken English Classes in the Nabagram and Naity panchayet area twice in a week i.e. Sunday and Wednesday. In every batch 30 numbers of Students are getting facilities for learning Spoken English.3. TRAINING CENTRE for HINDI LANGUAGE
A Training centre for the Hindi Language is conducted by Satya Bharati under the curriculum of Rashtrabhasha Prochar Samity, Wardha. The student successfully appears in the examinations conducted by the said samity.4. TRAINING ON ADOESCENT HEALTH CARE
The youths are being sensitized in different health related issues specially for Adolescent Health. The peer group leaders are constantly being trained by SAHAY personnel and they organize field level interaction and follow-ups.
Thus the adolescent Boys and Girls may get information upon different sexual disabilities and urges which may hamper their normal lives. At the sometime they will be awarded regarding their personnel hygiene and protection as well. Thus they may chanalize their sexual urges in creative
C. HOME AND HOSTELS
The Home, known as SHANTI-NEER, provides shelter and food to girls in moral danger free of cost. They are provided formal education in the educational Institution run by Satya Bharati. Some of them are imparted various job training for their successfully rehabilitation.
The Children staying at the ‘Cottage Home’ of Satya Bharati, are coming from economically poor background who are generally deprived of family care and protection. The Girls passing their studies in the Primary to Higher Secondary School attached to Satya Bharati. The Government grants receive towards maintenance of these girls is not sufficient to need all requirements & so funds from other source have to be collected for the inmates of the ‘Children’s Cottage, books & other educational kits etc. may be supplied to pursue their studies properly and special coaching be arranged for the comparatively weaker students.
Girls students of Satya Bharati Balika Vidyapith, who find it inconvenient to prosecute their studies at their residences, are provided with shelter in the Hostel. Street Children rescue with the help of TOMORROW’S FOUNDATION, AND CINI_ASHA are also accommodated in the student’s Hostel. They receive education in the Junior Basic and Secondary School run under the auspicious of the Satya Bharati and are helped for their proper rehabilitation in the society.
Satya Bharati has obtained the license from the state Government to star a ‘Shishu Greh’ for the shelter of the abandoned & relinquished children. These children are rejected by their parents and society & regarded as in convenience. Satya Bharati aims at providing shelter, food, clothing, medical care to these unfortunate children & help them get foster care. Presently one child has been admitted in the ‘Shishu Greh’. Two children were already received by us and placed for proper guide, shelter and food as per the guidance of Child Welfare Committee. But till date no fund have been received for ‘Shishu Greh’ from the Government and cost for maintenance, medication and nursing is totally being borne by Satya Bharati. Therefore an amount out of the donation received for two children adopted toward maintenance, medication and nursing of the children.
Known as NABAJIBON, this hostel provides accommodations to the employees of various offices and educational institution of the surrounding areas.
Styled as VARANASHI, the old age home of Satya Bharati is very popular among the senior citizens of the district and surrounding areas. Old men and women, who find it inconvenient to stay with their relations, find shelter in the Home.
D. WELFARE AND SERVICE1. FAMILY COUNSELING CENTRE
Established under the scheme of Central Social Welfare Board the family Counselling Centre works for restoration of happy family relations, particularly between the husband and wife, in the entire district of Hooghly through counseling and negotiation. Two competent and qualified counselor work for the purpose and has succeeded in setting hundreds of disputes through conciliation.2. HEALTH UNIT
We have 4 clinic centers in four different villages in the districts of Hooghly. The name of 4 centers are Nabagram, Naity, Gobra and Jangalpara. All centers are run smoothly and carefully by our efficient MBBS doctors with the help of our social workers.3. LIBRARY SERVICES
There is a rich collection of books in the Satya Bharati Library. It caters the need of readers among the members, workers and Boarders of Satya Bharati.
4A Children’s park names ‘SARADAMONI SISHU UDDYAN’, has been established in the new campus of Satya Bharati for the Children residing in Homes and Hostels of Satya Bharati. A Community Hall ‘ANANDA NIR’ is also established at the same campus to arrange seminars, Cultural programmes, Trainings Programmes, Awareness Camps and many other activities. Our organisationhas run with ‘Gandhian concept’. On that view we have established a ‘GANDHI GHAR’ where the inmates of Old Age Home sit and relax.
A Temple of Shri Rama Krishna has been established at the new campus of Satya Bharati for mental peace and solace of the inmates of Satya Bharati. Special Pujas are organization on the birth days of Shri Ramakrishna, Vivekananda and Maa Saradamoni every year.
World is going to be the dwelling place of adolescent and it’s our responsibility to lead them in a right way and let them live more lively. Adolescents are the most important and sensitive group of the organisation and special measures have been taken to mobilize and involve them in the organization activities and built their character to become a good citizen of the country. In the socialization process, moral up gradation is an urgent need. Our programme facilitates this process through various group activities, meetings, trainings, cultural events, sports etc. So far we have formed 55 youth groups in the project area irrespective of male and female.7. ECO-FRIENDS CLUB
The youth of the organization has established an ‘Eco-Friend Club’ to promote environmental awareness organizing programmes viz Awreness Camps, Rally on 5th June (as world environment Day), Door to Door campaign, Seedling Plantation, Eco-friendly Durgotsov, Quiz Contest and Environment Fare.8. YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
It is true the Youths are the back bones of our society and through our programmes they generate new ideas and ideals, now a days most of the planning are coming from them to keep pace with the changing need of the community. They have realized that they have some duties for their parents and society. So they have come forward to shoulder the responsibilities. The youth group members of our project have been involving themselves in rendering service for environmental sensitization during last eight years. They have arranged Awareness Camps on Pollution, Rally on different types of pollution, Eco Friendly Durgotsov and seedling Plantation. The camps were arranged in different areas viz Naity, Chikrand, Kanaipur, Bansai, Gobra and Jangalpara in Hooghly District. An Exhibition on sensitization program against environment pollution was organized recently at Kanaipur Gram Panchayet Area which was attended by local people with great enthusiasm.9. EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
The most important Youth Programme is ‘Hope Scholarship Programme.’ They main thrust of the programme is to provide more educational support to the Sponsored Youths, inspire of availing some short of educational helps. Clearly stated that from Class-IX to Degree level, 71 Numbers of youths filled up Hope Scholarship Application, out of which 50 youths have been selected with such help of facilities. They will be provided with their School Fees, Tutors Remuneration or Coaching Fees, School Uniforms, Books, Stationeries, Travelling allowances, Tiffin Expenses, Boarding Charges etc. according to their needs.10. EX-STUDENT ORGANISATION
The organization tries to play a vital role for development of Satya Bharati. It takes active part is Social Service and Cultural activities on various auspicious days of national importance like Republic Day, Independence Day, Netaji Birth Day, Rabindra-Nazrul Jayanti, Bhasha Dibash and other special occasions. It organizes competitions on recitation Art & Music etc. for the inmates of Home of Satya Bharati as also the students of the educational institutions of Satya Bharati. The organization publishes ‘Satya Bharati Sambad, quarterly also.
